The Search Process – We perceive ourselves as an extension of the client, our full-time job is to assume the responsibility of finding, identifying and qualifying candidates, saving our client valuable time. The client interviews only the finest candidates. Our objective is to find candidates that offer exceptional skills and meet the unique qualifications of the client’s position. The client’s role is to select the candidate that is the best fit for the position.

Client Interview: Arthur Diamond Associates begins each assignment by meeting with the client to understand the position and the organization’s culture. In order to generate a successful search and a long-term employee, we believe it is critical to assess the client’s needs and direct our efforts towards our client’s expectations. The firm’s approach is to perceive ourselves as an extension of our client. We are then able to recruit candidates that exemplify the credentials sought by the client and submit the top candidates for final interviews, evaluation and selection.

Position Specifications: Arthur Diamond Associates helps clients develop the job specifications and the appropriate market compensation for the position. Our broad experience across multiple industries provides insight and a diversity of ideas and candidates. We help our client determine the position’s basic responsibilities, reporting relationships, goals and objectives, management responsibilities, interpersonal skills needed and compensation. We will also assess the education, experience, personality and all other qualifications needed to meet the position’s requirements. In addition, we identify and assess the intangibles that equate with success.

Sources and Candidate Identification: Arthur Diamond Associates researches similar organizations, our extensive networking system, our database and public information for the strongest candidates. Each search is customized for the client.

Because we work with clients in various industries, we possess many resources for our assignments. We can approach people, for whom it would be inappropriate for our client to do so. This part of the process is what we do everyday. We approach people confidentially, either as a source, a candidate or a competitor. We know what to look for in order to avoid “shoppers” who would waste our client’s time.

Candidate Contact and Evaluation: We find the best candidates typically are not looking for a job. Arthur Diamond Associates contacts candidates identified in the research process, interviews by telephone, and conducts in person meetings and discussions with others to get their perspective on the candidate.

Most importantly, we have found that the best candidates are not typically looking for a job and are quite happy in their current position. We contact the candidates directly, identify what motivates them, present to them the opportunity and the challenge of the position, interview them and then determine the most qualified candidates. We will continue our search, regardless of the time and resources required.

Candidate Interviews: We will conduct lengthy in-person interviews with our list of candidates, and then pare this group down to the very best prospects for presentation to the client. During these interviews, we evaluate the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses. We also develop a history of experience, work and compensation.

Presentation of Candidates: Arthur Diamond Associates will present to the client four to six candidates whom we feel to be the most qualified based on extensive research and evaluation. Our client will make the final determination of candidates to be interviewed. We maintain close contact with the client during the entire process with regular reports.

Reference Checking: Once the first choice candidate is selected, we thoroughly check and confirm the performance in past positions. All reference checks are conducted on a confidential basis. We submit to our client a written report based on our findings. This is a critically important step. Before the client makes a final decision, this expanded part of the process helps our client determine the candidate’s characteristics and behavior.

Candidate Compensation: Arthur Diamond Associates will assist in the strategy and negotiation of compensation terms. Our experience with a diversity of clients helps to structure the right compensation package.
